Today I'm delighted to welcome Beth Anne Miller to the Supernatural Underground to share the very exciting cover debut for her new novel, the New Adult title, A Star To Steer Her By, which releases on March 20th.
And there's a giveaway as well, for extra fun — but wow, look at this cover!
I’m scarred. Broken. I’ll never be the same.
But I will take this journey.
Ever since my last dive ended in bloodshed, I’ve been terrified to go back into the water. But the opportunity to spend a semester at sea is too good to pass up. I need to get my life back.
I never expected to love it this much. And I never expected Tristan MacDougall.
Rugged, strong, and with demons of his own, Tristan helps me find the courage I thought I had lost and heals me with every stolen moment we share. But the rules of the ship mean we can't be together.
When a dive excursion goes terribly wrong, our only hope for survival is each other.

About Beth Anne Miller:
Beth Anne Miller’s first book, written in elementary school, was bound in pink fabric and was about—what else?—a girl and her horse. She soon began cheating on horses with the sea, becoming an open water scuba diver at age 14. That love of the sea led her to a college semester aboard a schooner. She returned with fond memories of the exhilaration of being on a ship under full sail, less fond memories of hurling over the leeward rail on a daily basis, and a sailing bug she couldn’t quite shake.
In addition to horses and the sea, she has a fascination for all things Scottish (including, but not limited to, men in kilts), which she explored with her first novel, INTO THE SCOTTISH MIST (The Wild Rose Press, 2011), and carried into her new novel, A STAR TO STEER HER BY (Entangled Embrace, March 2017). A native New Yorker, Beth Anne works in the publishing industry and is always looking ahead to her next voyage, whether a short one on a dive boat or whale watch, or, with luck, a longer one on a tall ship.

Thank you so much for having me, Helen! I absolutely LOVE this cover, and I'm so excited to share it with the world!
Beth, I love the cover and the blurb. Can't wait to read!
I've been on dives all over the world, but mostly California, Monterey Bay and the northern Channel Islands. It's been a while now ....would love to go back under the waves in your novel!
Thank you!
xxKim
We're thrilled to have you here on the Supernatural Underground, Beth -- love the cover!
@Kim: Thanks! I did a marine science internship in Monterey- at Moss Landing Marine Lab. I love it out there- though I never got the opportunity to scuba dive there. One of these days!
OMGosh ... small world! I grew up in Santa Cruz. There are some fabulous dive spots in Monterey, at least, there were 30 years ago!
Can't wait for your new book!
@Kim: I love that whole Central CA Coast-- so beautiful! I was there in Fall 1996, and often walked along the water in Monterey watching the divers hanging out with sea lions and otters, and wished I could have been in the water with them. Not sure why I couldn't just go rent some gear and go for it-- maybe because you may have needed a drysuit?
I remember one day in Santa Cruz, watching the sea lions under the pier. The tide was out, so the water level was way below the horizontal beams underneath the pier. And this one sea lion was trying to get up there, and kept launching itself out of the water, frantically scrambled at the beam with its flippers, then fell back into the water. Over and over again... poor guy.
Crazy sea lion!
The Sc and Monterey Bay dive scene were my stomping grounds in the '70s. I started out with a seal suit then moved quickly to the dry suit. I learned to dive in Hawaii, so, very different coming home to the cold water. Still, stunningly beautiful.
Here in norther NSW, Australia, the water is about halfway between Kona and Santa Cruz :)
@Kim: sounds glorious!!
