Upcoming releases!

Congratulations to Janhvi of India for winning this month's prize!!  Thank you all for the great comments. Please come back next month for the next giveaway. And please check out the contests that will begin soon on my website and Goodreads.

Some exciting months are ahead! At the end of September, my humorous historical romance, The Forbidden Lady, will go on sale. I'll be celebrating that with a contest on my website, www.kerrelynsparks.com, where I'll give away 10 wonderful historical romances by fellow Avon authors.

In October, I'll be signing at several places like the Buns and Roses event in Plano, TX, and then later at Katy Budget Books. If you would like to order a signed print copy of The Forbidden Lady, please contact Katy Budget Books at http://katybooks.com/.  You can find out more about future events by going to the Appearances page of my website.

At the end of November, Howard's book will release-- Wild About You!  If you're anxious to know who Howard will fall in love with, you can find out on the Upcoming Books page of my website.  The website contest will continue through October and November, when I'll give away some backlist books from the Love at Stake series. I've recently joined GoodReads, so please look for me there. I'll be giving away books there, too!

And speaking of giveaways, I have a special prize for a lucky winner today!  A signed copy of Pamela Palmer's exciting new vampire book, A Blood Seduction!  It's the first book in a terrific series you won't want to miss!  Thrills, chills, romance, suspense-- it's all there!  But that's not all!  There's A Blood Seduction shot glass to go with it! And that's still not all. I'm also throwing in a signed copy of Eat Prey Love!!

For a chance to win, leave a comment and tell me whom you would rather see on a cover-- the hero, the heroine, or both of them? International entries are welcomed.  Good luck!

I <3 every one. I can't wait !

I prefer both but I agree with CarolDee - when they don't look like described in the book it tends to be a bit of a pet peeve for me :-).
Like most of the Love at stake covers - the German ones are pretty cool, too.

Thanks for hosting such a great contest.

I would love to see both the hero and heroine on the cover, though only from the chin down. A faceless cover art draws gives the reader more imagination!

Hi Kerrelyn!

Love your books! I like seeing both the hero & the heroine, though I think all of your book covers were appropriate & wonderfully done. My favorite so far is the cover of Vampire Mine :)

I rather have both hero and heroin because i'd would like to see how about main character could look like, will i'm reading a great book.
for example with Kerrelyn Sparks new book coming out "wild about you", i couldn't picture Howard in my mind till i saw him on the cover, also with the women on the cover it shows me who our Howard bear is going to fall in love with.

CANADA Love you Kerrelyn Sparks <3

I prefer to see both the hero & the heroine on the cover of a book. My favorites are the covers that express tension or wariness between the couple.
Thanks for the chance to win such a great giveaway!

gotta have the hero!! i dont mind carrying around a half naked man.. even the heroine isnt too bad.. but both of them...sometimes the poses are a bit too risque for me.. lol

It deepends I think my favorite are the body shots of the hero and heroine no faces but then again in Eat Prey Love Carlos looks pretty tempting. I guess it just depends on how inviting the models are.

Kellie said...

So long as the characters on the cover match those in the story, I have no preference (though as alainala said, I don't mind carrying around a half nekkid man on my books!) It's also nice to get a visual of those you are reading about!

margie said...

im toowould love to see just the hero, but bith is sometimes better. i have read all your books and cant wait for howards to come out got it preordered just love them.

Unknown said...

I would rather see both of them :) that way you can see a chemistry both the characters and you would also see a difference between the characters :)

Anna Doane said...

I certainly have to say first that the cover models should actually resemble the characters.

Now for me, who I want to see is the slightly more main character. And what I mean, is for instance, in your Love at Stake series I prefer to just see the character we already know from the series. To let the new love interest be left up to my imagination, while now being given a way for me to see the returning character in a possible way.

However, if it is a new series or something stand alone I like to see both, because they are entering at the same time and they should be presented on equal ground.

Although I'm partial to heroes I would like to see both on the cover, gives it more interest I think. =)

It kind of depends on the story. Being a woman of course I'd love to see the hero. LOL But, both is good too. I do agree though that the models should resemble the characters. That is very important. Can't have a dark haired hero and them the cover shows a blonde one. Just doesn't fit.

I only buy books with both the hero and the heroine on the cover. I didn't realize that, but I just looked at my bookshelf and it doesn't lie! I like to see if there's a connection between them. That's what draws me into the book if it's not from an author I usually read.

It depends on the book. I love your covers!

I like to see both, the hero and the heroine, on a book cover.

Tracey Q said...

It depends on the story whether or not I want to see the hero, heroine or both. I would say if the woman is the badass type that does the rescuing she should be on the cover alone. If the romance is secondary to some mystery, the one who is most in danger should be on the cover. If it is equally about both of them they share the cover.

I prefer both.

I would like to see both on the cover. It shows exactly who the book is about. Besides is alwaya nice to see a hot man.

I personally like to see them together to see how they match.
Saying that it's also good to have a bit of mystery so if just one on the cover it's a nice surprise to get the authors description of the other half.

I would want both the hero and the heroine because the books are about the relationship between the two not just one or the other. It lets the reader know that the book is not mainly just about one person, but the journey two people take to find each other and themselves. Love the book and can't wait for more to come

Sometimes the way a series is written I like to see just the hero or just the heroine. For your particular series I think both of them on the cover ramps up what I like to call the hotness factor of the two main characters. The artist for your covers has being doing an excellent job especially with the last three or four covers. Will be a fan of your books forever.

Terry's Crafty Fingers said...

It really depends upon the book/author for me. Sometimes I like being able to see the couple and sometimes just the individual. I guess it depends upon the title and how the models are posed.
