The End of Vacation

[Edited: Winner Announced! The winner of the complete Dark Days series signed is "Coast to Coast with Costina"! Please email me at jocelynnDOTdrakeATgmailDOTcom with your name and address so I can ship you your prize!

Thanks to everyone for all your comments! I loved reading them and dreaming about all the places that I need to visit now.]

My computer is calling.
My unwritten books are calling.
Characters that have been neglected too long are calling.

Sorry for the late post, but I'm slowly getting back from vacation in Hawaii and I'm trying to get myself behind my computer again. I don't have anything interesting to say in relation to writing or books or really much of anything. But wait.... There's still more.

While on vacation, I did the unexpected.

I got married. I was in Oahu with my fiance, and while there we were swept up in the beauty and wonderfulness of the island. And decided, what the heck! Let's get married.

So we did.

To celebrate my new marriage, the wonderfulness of vacation and summer, I am going to give away a signed set of the Dark Days series. That's Nightwalker, Dayhunter, Dawnbreaker, Pray for Dawn, Wait for Dusk, and the newest book, Burn the Night. All you need to do is tell me either where you had your honeymoon or where your dream honeymoon would take place. I will be announcing the winner on Thursday, August 11.

Congrats on your wedding! You looked beautiful.

My dream honeymoon with my dream future husband would be some tropical getaway like Hawaii or visiting the castles in England.

Thanks for the chance to win your fabulous books signed!

I would love to take a cruise, preferably the Mediterranean to see the Old Old World or around Britain and France.

That being said, with my luck my one-day groom will probably suffer from severe sea-sickness. Because THAT is the sort of luck I have.

My husband & I never got a honeymoon, but if I could pick any place to do a (very) late one, it would be GREECE! =)

Oh, that is absolutely wonderful to hear, Jocelynn! I am so happy for you!

Haven't had a honeymoon (haven't found a groom yet). but I have always wanted to go to London. I think that it would be an awesome way to start married life: by exploring the city and discovering all the wonderful things there.

I wish you and your husband much happiness.

My honeymoon was in Sturgis South Dakota during the bike rally. It was one heck of a party.

Congratulations! What a fun and spontaneous trip! I would love to honeymoon in Scotland, running around in the fog and green hills... yes! Then again, I live in the Pacific Northwest for that same, sun escaping reason. :-)

My husband and I haven't been able to take our honeymoon yet, but I would love to go to the United Kingdom. Beautiful castles and Stonehenge. That is my dream honeymoon. :)

Congratulations and Best Wishes! (traditionally, "Congratulations" is told to the groom and "Best Wishes" is told to the bride - go figure)

I would love to honeymoon in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii: Kona coffee, Kona Coast mac nuts, fresh fish, crystal clear water for snorkeling...

Hooray and Congrats to you. We actually got married on Kauai and honeymooned at the Fairmont Orchid on the Kohala coast of the Big Island. We are headed back there in Sept. to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Hawaii is such an amazing place to get married!

Congratulations on your romantic wedding!

My dream honeymoon would be a cruise of the Mediterranean, with visits in Spain, Italy and Greece. For me, there is nothing like the romance of the old country.

Congratulations on your marriage! My husband and I honeymooned in Panama City Beach. We were airmen in the Air Force at the time, and our respective offices took up a collection and found a room for us. Otherwise, there would have been NO honeymoon because we couldn't have afforded one! (Little did we know, it was spring break, but that's another story...)

Since I got married in Reno, Nevada, what honeymoon I had was in the Reno Tahoe area. I would have loved to be able to afford to go to Vancover, Canada for such experience. Oh well, I made it there 38 years later (yes, still married to the same man, now 42 years)

My dream honeymoon would be in either Japan.I'm really into the culture. Japan would be lovely during the time of the Cherry blossoms festival. I think it'd be really special to go there with the one I love and take a walk among the Sakura trees, stay in a Ryokan, and maybe visit an Onsen, wear yukatas and elegant kimonos. Go to a few shows. Then after a few days of traditional, go to Tokyo and do some shopping and have some ramen. Do a bit of site seeing, visit Nagasaki and Hiroshima, maybe hit a concert or two. It'd truly be a honeymoon trip to remember. :)

Congrats, sounds like a great idea, since you were already there, why not, LOL
I honeymooned in Lake Tahoe, and I was too young to gamble. The lake was beautiful though and we still had a good time. My dream honeymoon would be to go on a trip to Great Britain, actually it's just my dream trip period, so a honeymoon would be a perfect excuse.

I love a good love story.
My hubby and I paid for the wedding ourselves, so we had to save up another year for the honeymoon. We went on a cruise, just 5 days (its all we could afford). He got sunburnt from snorkling and I ate ice cream for 5 days straight.
It was heaven.

Congratulations!

I got married about a year and a half ago on New Year's Eve. I think we only got married because I had wanted a shiny engagement ring and then realised now we'd have to get married! :)

We had our honeymoon in Hawaii and it was our first overseas holiday. I absolutely loved it there. I'm from Australia and was blown away by how nice everyone was. We used The Bus nearly every day and the bus drivers were great in answering our "which bus goes here" questions. The bus drivers here at home would not be so nice.

We stayed in Waikiki and ventured all over Oahu. Did you get to go to the Polynesian Cultural Centre? I thought that was absolutely fantastic. I'd definitely go back to Hawaii to visit again in the future.

Dear Jocelynn, my honeymoon story is crazy,a bit sad but with a happy end, just like Mira's love life.
I came to Germany from Ecuador to work, met a ultra-handsome german man and decided to stay in Germany with him. We wanted to get married in Ecuador in 2006 unfortunately the company I was working for made a mistake when renovating my working permit and realized it too late, so we had to change our plans and drive to Denmark (this is like Las Vegas in Europe) and get married very fast, completely alone and with an old couple we didn't know as witnesses!
Since then we always "planned" our honeymoon but kept cancelling it as we were focused on building our house, having a baby and so on. Finally, this year January, after seven years together, my husband went online, booked a cruise from Miami to Mexico and Jamaica! We will finally do it! I just hope we have good luck wiht the weather! It is planed for the hurricane season in Florida! But i don't care! We will finally do it!
